NOTED Kannada music director Shri Mano Murthy visited Narendra Nele, a centre for street children and interacted with the children on July 27. Every month illustrious personalities from different fields are invited to interact with these children so that they are inspired to perform better in their life. NELE is an initiative of Hindu Seva Pratishtan, a premier social service organisation in Karnataka. It was started way back in August 2000 to provide residential care to destitute children. So far, ten centres have been established, six in Bengaluru and others in Mysore, Tumkur, Shimoga and Bagalkote. Over 260 boys and girls have found caring homes in these centres.
