By the time Wendy Tynes realises that Mercer is not the pedophile she portrayed him to be, it is too late because Mercer is killed and his body removed without a trace. In order to correct the wrong she did to Mercer, Tynes gets down investigating his disappearance. Every time she thinks she had come to a dead end, she finds new clues and doggedly pursues them, till the end.
This is yet another super thriller from Harlan Coben, an acknowledged master in crime stories, with sub-urban background.
