INAUGURATING the Vidyarathi Seva Trust of the ABVP at Kochi on August 29, RSS Sahasarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosbale said sacrifices and service attitude are needed for national reconstruction and called upon the youth and students to come forward in massive numbers, for this initiative.
“Developing creative thoughts and using them for national greatness is the need of the hour. Unlike other student organisations, ABVP is giving more importance to nation building activities. Vidyarthi Seva Trust is a move in this direction, which finances poor students and channelises them for national progress. Even veteran communist EMS Namboodiripad has said that students are not mere slogan-shouters and stone throwers of political parties. He wanted them to think independently and creatively”, he concluded.
Leading Malayalam writer C Radhakrishan, Padmasri P Parameswaran, ABVP leaders PR Babu, Dr NC Induchoodan, PR Krishnaprasad also spoke on the occasion.
