A tribute to Sadanand Kakde

SENIOR VHP activists and former vice president Sadanand Kakde passed away at Hubli’s (Bengaluru) VHP office on July 12. He was 90. He was keeping unwell from the last one year. Born in 1920, Sadanand Kakde became a Sangh swayamsevak in his childhood. Later, he became a Sangh Pracharak. He held many responsibilities as a Pracharak. He became first organising secretary of VHP in Karnataka in 1970. He held this responsibility for 15 years and then became Dakshin Kshetra organising secretary. Later, he became central secretary of VHP and then vice president. He had also played a key role in building the Prant VHP office, Samarasata Bhavan, in Bengaluru. He played a key role during the second Ekatmata Yatra conducted in the nineties. (FOC)
