THE RSS started work in Kerala in early forties and Kochi, the centre of the State, became venue for the Prant headquarters. For long, the dream to have an own karyalaya at the State capital, Thiruvanantha-puram, bore fruit on July 19, 2010, when Sarsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat inaugurated the Karyalaya ‘Shakti Nivas’ and ‘Sabhagriham’, at a stone throw distance from the ‘Anantha Padmanabha Swamy’ temple, after which the capital city is named. Mohanji lit the traditional lamp and threw open the multi-storied building to the Hindu Samaj.

Later addressing a huge gathering of the Sangh swayamsevaks and well-wishers, Mohanji said, karyalayas are a great impetus for triggering growth.

“For RSS happiness and sorrow, respect and insults, acceptability and rejection come intermittently. Without getting affected by both, we carry on our mission, cautiously. Just like cloth for man and not man for cloth, karyalayas are temples of Hindu Samaj and not office or place for karyakartas to live. As in the message of Gita, the role of RSS is to unite the people of Bharatvarsha in the path of sanmarg. RSS makes them sajjan and paropakari through sampark, sanskar and vyavastha.”

“The RSS does not believe that fear, hatred and violence will give strength. The Sangh believes that such negative strength will fritter away. The RSS aim is to develop positive Sanatan Shakti of Hindu Samaj through love, peace and unity. The target of certain media and quarters who spread canards against RSS is ‘Intense Hatred’. Let the media and vested interests mix masala and enjoy the game. We don’t mind it, since the crores of Hindus, all over the globe, know the true picture about RSS. We have offered total co-operation to the investigation agencies and for the past 85 years, RSS is working, subscribing to the laws of the land.”

“The RSS is the Hunuman of Hindu Samaj who doesn’t fear anybody or frighten anybody. The Sampoorna Sheelavan in Hanuman, weaned away the Tapas Shakti of evil Ravan and assured Rama’s victory. Similarly RSS will come out clean, from the agnipariksha of vilification campaigns, as in previous occasions. It is the campaign of anti-national forces, who want to weaken Hindu Samaj and Bharat.”

He concluded saying RSS is running 1.57 lakh service projects irrespective of religion, caste, province, and state etc., in addition to service during calamities and tragedies.

RSS Kshetriya Bauddhik Pramukh, J Nandakumar, translated Mohanji’s Hindi speech into Malayalam.

Top Sangh adhikaris Sethumadhavan, Gopalakrishnan, AR Mohan, Gopalankutty, Prof. CG Rajagopal participated in the functions along with several saints and sages of various mutts and ashrams.
