THE concluding ceremony of Dakshin Karnataka Sangh Shiksha Varga was held at Janseva Vidya Kendra in Chennenhalli (Bengaluru) on May 3. A total of 806 swayamsevaks from 487 places of southern districts of Karnataka, underwent organisational training at the camp.

About 60 Sangh Shiksha Vargas are held in the country every year in order to further train the Prathamik Shiksha Varga-trained swayamsevaks. They go through a curriculum covering physical, intellectual and organisational skills. Participants in a rigorous time-table starting at 4.00 am and finishing at 10.00 pm, partake in yoga-pranayam, niyuddha, padvinyas, danda, shakha conduction, samata, physical activities as well as in discussion, lecture, bauddhik etc.

The valedictory function was presided over by Shri AN Vasudeva Murthy, an industrialist. Prant Sanghachalak Shri M Vankat Ramu and Shiviradhikari Shri Laxmi Narayan Hegde also graced the occasion. The valedictory speech was delivered by Sah Prant Karyavah Shri N Tippeswamy, who, while underlining the prime national problems, described the organisational training a real boon. The visits of Akhil Bharatiya Bauddhik Pramukh Shri K Bhagayya, Akhil Bharatiya Sah Sewa Pramukh Shri Suhasrao Hiremath, Itihas Sankalan Samiti national organising secretary Shri Haribhau Vazhe and former Kshetra Pracharak Shri Jaydev immensely increased the attendees’ learning scope.

National security, education, women empowerment, swadeshi, coping up with terrorism and conversion were the issues chiefly covered in the prabodhan by the dignitaries. The beautiful performances by the shiksharthis only reflected their acquired skills in what was actually taught to them all these days.

The Prathamik Shiksha Varga, which was also conducted simultaneously, was attended by 258 college students. It is only after completing this camp that a swayamsevak is qualified to attend the Sangh Shiksha Varga. The week-long camp-routine comprised of the basic aspects of the initial karyakarta’s requirements.
