VISHWA Hindu Parishad spokesperson Dr Surendra Jain asked the Union Home Minister P Chidambaram to explain to the nation what made him to support the settlement of PoK terrorists in Jammu & Kashmir and why he is not concerned about the plight of Kashmiri Pandits who are languishing in different parts of the country for the last two decades. “We have come to know that you have endorsed and supported the idea of J&K Chief Minister regarding the settlement of PoK terrorists in J&K on the pretext that PoK is the part of India. If you had used this argument to get the territory of PoK back, the entire nation would have supported you. But unluckily you have used this argument for a wrong cause. It would have been better if you have studied the experience of such experiments made in the past before making such a disastrous statement. J&K Government has recruited such so-called surrendered terrorists in the forces but many of them have been caught for their anti-national activities. Even former Chief Minister of J&K Gulam Nabi Azad also refused the idea of considering this experience. The nation wants to know what made you to take such a sinister stand. How can it be made sure that the terrorists who were working to destroy our nation for the last 20 years, will become patriot overnight and will love the people whom they were killing for the last so many years,” Dr Jain said in a letter written to the Home Minister P Chidambaram on February 12. Reminding Shri Chidambram of the oath he has taken as Home Minister to protect the life and property of the citizens of the country, Dr Jain asked him why he is not taking any stand to resettle the Kashmiri Pandits in their homeland which they had to vacate due to these terrorists. “You have not spared even a single second to visit them to known the hardships being faced by them. Do you also believe that Hindus are secondary citizens of the country? Simply for the consolidation of Muslim vote bank for your party, how much the nation will have to suffer? You are requested to rethink on your stand. If you are really serious about the resolution adopted by the Parliament regarding PoK, you should take steps to get the land of PoK back. It will send a strong signal to Pakistan and terrorists nurtured by them,” Dr Jain said.
