Ashish Gautam to get Vivekananda Sewa Samman

Shri Ashisha Gautam who is dedicated to the cause of lepers through Divya Prem Sewa Mission, Haridwar, has been selected for 24th Vivekananda Sewa Samman. The Samman will be presented at a function to be organised on January 24 in Kolkata by former RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri KS Sudarshan. Presented by Shree Burrabazar Kumarsabha Pustakalaya the Samman consists of cash prize of Rs 51,000, a citation and a memento.

Born on October 22 at Nivada village in Uttarakhand, Shri Ashish Gautam did post graduation in political science and LLB from Allahabad University. After completing education he worked as Sangh Pracharak in Pratapgarh, Gorakhpur and Hamirpur till 1995. Later, he started serving lepers near Chandighat in Haridwar. He formed Divya Prem Sewa Mission on January 12, 1997 and is presently serving the lepers through 13 projects.
