“The whole world knows that Ayodhya is the birthplace of Shri Ram and there are more than 30,000 temples of Hindus over which mosques were built by Muslim invaders to insult the Hindus. The matter of Shri Ramjanmabhoomi is in the court for 60 years and is still pending. The only solution to this issue is that all political parties should jointly enact a law in Parliament allowing reconstruction the temple at the same birthplace,” said VHP president Shri Ashok Singhal. He was addressing a gathering of Rambhaktas at Shourya Diwas in New Delhi on December 6. The function was organised at Raja Garden Crossing by Delhi unit of Bajrang Dal. A similar function was organised in Rohini, which was addressed by Shri Varun Gandhi.

Shri Singhal said the saints are of the opinion that the Hindu society can forget all the wounds if Shri Ramjanmabhoomi and other two temples of Mathura and Kashi are returned to them. He said the tolerance of Hindus should not be tested more.

Bajrang Dal national convener Shri Prakash Sharma said the politics of lie would not be allowed in the country and the Bajrang Dal is committed to build a temple in Ayodhya at any cost. He said Bajrang Dal has entered in 25th year of its inception and has grown young and strong enough to materialise any instructions of the saints. He said the enrolment of 25 lakh Bajrangis during the Silver Jubilee year is the evidence that the Hindu youth are ready to face any challenge for the nation.

Vice president of VHP Shri Omprakash Singhal said the demolition of the disputed structure in Ayodhya on December 6, 1992 awakened the self-respect of Hindus and the Hindu society would not sit silent till a magnificent Shri Ram temple is built in Ayodhya. Mahant Naval Kishor Das, general secretary of Sant Mahamandal, administered the oath of reconstruction of Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya.
