Bhaorao Deoras Sewa Nyas honoured six young literary persons in Unnao on September 20. These awards are presented in the memory of Pt. Pratapnarayan Mishra. Shri Yogendra Verma of Moradabad was honoured for poetry. Shri Rajesh Sharma ‘Purohit’ of Jhalawad (Rajasthan) was honoured for story writing and Shri Suresh Saurabha of Lakhimpur was honoured for child literature. Shri Ami Adhar ‘Nidar’ of Agra was honoured for journalism and Dr Narayan Das of Kolkata was honoured for Sanskrit literature. Dr Shankardev of Darbhanga was honoured for Maithili language. Each winner was presented a citation, memento and the cash prize of Rs 5000. Presenting the awards senior journalist and state BJP spokesperson Shri HN Dixit attracted the attention of the people to the onslaughts on Indian culture by the leftists lobby. He called upon the literary persons to counter this campaign through their writings. Senior literary person Dr Suryanarayan Shukla presided over the function.
