Annual meeting of the Akhil Bharatiya Grahak Panchayat was held in Aurangabad from June 6 to 7. More than 150 activists from various parts of the country participated in the meeting. Besides the reconstitution of the national executive of the Panchayat, discussions were held on various issues concerning the consumers and the nation today. Shri Rajabhau Phofali of Nagpur was unanimously re-elected as national president of the Grahak Panchayat. The workers stressed the need to educate the consumers on various issues including the growing demand of Chinese toys. The meeting decided to educate the people about the evil designs of China behind overflowing our market with its products. The meeting also opposed the privatisaion of water supply in various cities. Veteran Sangh Pracharak Shrikant Joshi, Uttar Kshetra Sanghachalak Dr Bajranglal Gupt, Mayor of Aurangabad Smt. Vijaytai Rahatkar and District Magistrate Shri Sanjay Jaiswal were also present on the occasion.
