“The diversity of service projects by Sewa Bharati that we see in Sewa Bastis today is due to the tireless efforts of Vishnuji. He never imposed his thinking over the people rather involved them in the decision process. He truly lived the life of Nava Dhadhichi. He developed the service projects as a security net around the people who are being targeted by the alien forces,” said RSS Sarkaryavah Shri Bhaiyaji Joshi. He was paying tribute to veteran Sangh Pracharak Vishnu Kumar who had passed away in New Delhi on May 25. The condolence meeting was organised by Delhi Prant RSS on May 31.

Shri Bhaiyaji Joshi further said Vishnuji never stuck to the old pattern and kept his mind open for new things and ideas. He never tired while serving the people and successfully won the trust of the people. That is why he never stopped due to lack of resources. He started the service work in Delhi from zero and faced so many difficulties. Sometime many people tried to discourage him but he never got disturbed. Apart from the people living in urban slums he also thought about the primitive tribes and started many projects for them, Bhaiyaji added.

VHP president Shri Ashok Singhal said the projects that Vishnuji started would never allowed to be closed down due to lack of resources. The giant project Sewa Dham in Delhi is due to the efforts of Vishnuji. “There are forces that have been trying to separate a section of the Hindu society from the rest of the society. It is the service activities that have prevented them to join the alien forces. The more the service activities are spread the easily we can develop harmony in the society. The service chapter in the Sangh work has been added by Vishnuji,” he said. Meanwhile, the Government of Madhya Pradesh has initiated three awards of Rs one lakh each after Vishnuji that will be presented to the people or organisations rendering services to the needy people. Municipal Corporation of Bhopal has also announced an award of Rs 51,000 after Vishnuji.

Veteran Sangh Pracharak and former Akhil Bharatiya Sewa Pramukh Shri Premchand Goel said the main thrust of Vishnu was on two kinds of projects—Matrichhaya and hostels for downtrodden students. Uttar Kshetra Sanghachalak Dr Bajranglal Gupt said Vishnuji not only gave an ideological premise to the service activities across the country but also decided the kinds of service activities. “Vishnuji had been given a very few workers by the Sangh. The entire team of workers was developed by him from the localities that he served. It is a very good achievement. Apart from this, he motivated the retired people to serve the needy people,” he added. Delhi Prant Sanghachalak Shri Ramesh Prakash Sharma, chairman of Sewa Dham Shri Deepak Rathi and Shri Sitaram Agrawal of VHP also paid tribute at the condolence meeting. (FOC)
