“The life and the survival of the rich traditions of the country have their roots in the uniqueness of Sanskrit,” said Sri Sannidhanam Sudarsana Sarma, Vice Chancellor of Tirupati Vedic University. He was speaking at the annual function of Viswa Sanskrit Pratishthan held at Kozhencherry on May 9. The Pratishthan is a wing of Sanskrit Bharati, which has been working for propagation of Sanskrit world over.
Sri Sarma further said the people who have learnt Sanskrit have felt the depth and sweetness of the language. The greatness of the language will survive as long as the rich tradition of the country exists, he added. President of the Pratishthan Sri G Gangadharan Nair presided over the function. Sri Krishnamoorthi delivered the keynote address.
Swami Chidanandapuri and Sri P Jayakumar Sarma were felicitated on the occasion. An award was presented to Amrita TV also. Reception Committee chairman Sri KV Sambadevan welcomed the gathering and Sri VJ Jayakumar proposed a vote of thanks.
