UPA has betrayed the working class -K Lakshma Reddy

STATE conference of Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) unit in Goa was held in Panaji recently. BMS national general secretary Shri K Lakshma Reddy was the chief guest. Addressing the workers, he said the UPA government followed the anti-people and anti-workers policies in the name of globalisation, liberalisation and privatisation during its tenure, which added to the sufferings and miseries of the people. He further said people should not expect anything good from the UPA government. He cautioned the delegates of the frightening situation of unemployment. He warned that over 15 lakh jobs might be lost by March 2009 in the country. The conference was presided over by Shri Vasant Pimplapure. Others present on the dais included Shri SN Deshpande, Shri Ajit Kulkarni and Advocate Hridyanath Shirodkar. The conference elected Shri Anil Kant as state president, Shri Anand Gaude, Shri Sathikan and Shri Sabaji Govekar as vice presidents, Advocate Hridyanath Shirodkar as general secretary and Shri Dhyaneshwar Pednekar and Smt Manisha Naik as secretaries.
