Symposium on the role of students in national reconstruction

Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas organised a two-day symposium in Delhi University on the role of students in education and national reconstruction from February 9 to 10.

Inaugurating the symposium, Dr GS Saxena, former Vice Chancellor of Agra University said the glory of the past and challenges of the present are the keys to national reconstruction. He said education plays an important role in achieving the objectives of national reconstruction. He said it is very unfortunate that the Sanskrit, the language of the Rigveda, has been made dead in the country where it had originated.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Atul Kothari, national co-convener of Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas said the Shiksha Bachao Andolan Samiti would not allow more distortions in education and it was in the process to present a new alternative in education system.

Dr BS Rajput, former Vice Chancellor of Kumaun University, Nainital, also spoke at the concluding ceremony. Shri Dina Nath Batra, secretary of the Nyas called upon the students to play an practive role in national reconstruction. He said the students could change the atmosphere of the universities through their positive thinking, constructive cooperation and service mindset.
