Asian Agri History Foundation, Secundrabad for agriculture, Smt SC Mery Kom of Manipur for sports and Deendayal Research Institute, New Delhi for social education have been selected for Shri Guruji Award for the year 2009. Presented by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Jankalyan Samiti, Maharashtra, the awards would be presented at a ceremonial function to be held at Rukmani Garden at Jalana on February 22. This is fourteenth year of awards presented by the Samiti. The award consists of a shawl, coconut, memento and cash of Rs 51,000. The Asian Agri History Foundation was formed in 1994 by Dr Yashwant Laxman Nene and eleven other scientists for their research on hundreds years of old Hindu scriptures available in India and South Asia. Smt Meri Kom has retained her superiority in women'sboxing championship. She has already won Arjun and Padmshri awards. The DRI has been creating social order for the last 40 years.
