Read these names?Saraimeer, Sanjarpur, Mubarakpur, Bilariaganj, Larganj, Vindwal, Anwak, Bishan and Mohammedpur. Abu Salem, Abu Basher, Mohammed Saif, Atif, Khalid, Jeeshan, Shakeel, Jiya Khan, Salman, Sajid, Shahjad, Junaid, Shadab and so on. What is the relationship between these villages and these persons? All these persons are involved in terrorist activities. These are the residents of above villages. They are the blemishes in the name of Azamgarh, which once upon a time was socially, culturally and politically very rich district. Now these names are blots on the rich history of Azamgarh. Remember Chandrajit Yadav who was a communist leader? Also remember Ayodhya Prasad Singh ?Hariaudh? a national fame Hindi poet? In this chain one may remember the name of Urdu poet Kaifi Azmi. But now these names are no longer an example to emulate for the new generation of Azamgarh specially the youths of Muslim community who are greedy for money by hook or by crook. This is the main reason of young generation getting caught in the web of terrorism. Saraimeer and Sanjarpur are the centre of terrorist youths. In the name of professional courses, i.e. computer networking, MBA, BCA and CA, once these youths leave their home, most of them go in touch with underworld dons, terrorist outfits and other such illegal hands.

No doubt the pseudo-secular leaders have protected these types of illegal activities for their Muslim vote bank. Again remember the arrest of Abu Bashar, the mastermind of the serial blasts of Ahmedabad. Gujarat and UP police arrested him from Azamgarh. Except the BJP, almost the leaders of all political parties including SP, BSP and Congress, condemned the arrest. Even the Parliament member of Bahujan Samaj Party from Azamgarh Akbar Ahmed Dumpy, Congress leader Ram Naresh Yadev, Abu Azmi, the Maharashtra SP chief, Teesta Seetalvad and Shahi Imam of Delhi Jama Masjid Syed Ahmed Bukhari were lamenting the arrest. These ?secular? leaders not only visited the home of Bashar but also presented an aggressive attitude on the arrest of the terrorist. The local leaders of Samajwadi Party were in constant touch with Bashar'sfamily. Shahi Imam was in mood of ?jehad?. In a big rally of local Muslims, he provoked them for a revolt. Even then the state government of Mayawati did not take any action against him. This was the first chance, when a Muslim leader like Imam Bukhari was openly speaking in the favour of a terrorist. When serial blasts rocked Delhi and after a few days Atif and Sazid had been killed in an encounter and Saif and four other terrorists were arrested in the serial blasts case then the whole chain of terrorism was unearthed. The truth was that all the thirteen terrorists involved in the Delhi blasts were also responsible for the blasts in Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru and UP. All terrorists are the residents of Azamgarh. First time in the two decades this type of terrorist racket has been uncovered. Even then the eyes of ?secular? leaders did not open. Instead of any further action against terrorism in the state, Chief Minister Mayawati was belligerent against ex-Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav. She alleged that Mulayam Singh Yadav is the main protector of SIMI in UP. She also said that in the rule of MSY, the law and order condition had completely collapsed in the state. In the same period, SIMI had organised its network in the state. Apart from allegations of Chief Minister Mayawati, it is true that during the reign of Mulayam Singh Yadav SIMI was promoted and it was during his rule that Ayodhya was attacked by terrorists on July 5, 2005. As Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav himself ordered to take back the case against the then SIMI chief, Nagauri from a court of Bahraich. Later, his bail was granted.

It is true that during the regime of Mulayam Singh, the Muslim terrorist groups were on their peak. It is also true that Mulayam is himself in favour of Muslim militant groups like SIMI. He demanded a ban on Bajrang Dal, VHP and other Hindu arganisations, which are peace-loving organisations. In the eyes of Mulayam Singh, SIMI and Bajrang Dal are of the same character. Under the pressure of Mulayam Singh, the central government is also beating the same trumpet. It is possible that in future the central government will ban the Bajrang Dal under the pressure of dirty politics. For the same secular selfishness in India, these terrorists motivated by SIMI are working in full swing. About thirty-four districts of UP like Allahabad, Lucknow, Aligarh, Meerut, Kanpur, Fatehpur, Bahraich, Varanasi, Sultanpur, Gonda, Faizabad, Ambedkar Nagar, Siddharthnagar, Gorakhpur, Bareilly, Agra, Hathras, Moradabad, Pilibhit, Firozabad, Mau, Balrampur, Shravasti, Bijnor and Mehrajganj are under the great influence of SIMI. In spite of this, neither the police nor the political parties have not woken up. Situation is getting worse as no culprit has been punished so far for his crime.

Terrorists have strengthened their network in the western parts of UP but their roots are in Azamgarh because persons are getting wealthier without their source of income.

Reliable sources say that in the western belt, apart from 35 agents of ISI, nine dreaded terrorists have disappeared in the past decade. Eight agents of ISI are residents of Meerut, two of whom were involved in 1993 blasts in Rajdhani Express pantry car. Jalla, who bombed the PAC camp in Meerut, is connected with Harkat-ul-Ansar. ISI agent Hafiz, who is the resident of Muzaffarnagar, is absconding. Mohd Yasin (Aligarh) and Hanif (Moaradabad) are also underground.
