A new movement in south India has become the talk of the town. It has caught the attention of spiritual teachers from every tradition, leaders from around the world, and millions more. This movement, called the Oneness Blessing (also known as deeksha), entails a powerful transfer of energy to elicit the realisation of unitive consciousness. This book tells the story of this radical new gateway to personal and global transformation.

Arjuna Ardagh, the author of this book, is the founder of the Living Essence Foundation in Nevada City, California and is working religiously on the awakening of consciousness within the context of ordinary life. According to him the oneness blessing can precipitate a shift towards a completely different state of consciousness, where the sense of ?I? as a separate entity dissolves. What remains is a simple and direct realisation of oneness, unclouded by the conceptual mind. The oneness blessing is believed to catalyse this shift for thousands of people all over the world. Ardagh writes, ?The blessing is something few will be able to ignore in the years ahead. It has proven to be the fastest-growing spiritual development in living memory.?

The widespread experience of deep prayer and meditation?and of altered states of consciousness in general?provides evidence that in altered states of consciousness, the classical information processing of the left cerebral hemispheres is no longer dominant. The brain does not operate predominantly in the classical mode, whereby one item of consciousness follows others in a linear sequence, and perception is not limited to signals conducted by the bodily senses. The altered states of consciousness liberate us from the ego-limited condition, whereby we begin to view the world through five slits in the tower?they open for us the roof to the sky. This is caused by the experience of recurring oneness blessing. Blessing is facilitated by undergoing the consciousness-evolution regime called the ?oneness process?. This process enhances the effect of the oneness blessing, helping us to achieve the altered states of consciousness in which the brain operates as a macroscopic quantum system. With the opening of the brain, links are established with others and Nature, constituting the ?awakening into oneness?. Rediscovery of links with the world around us makes us more whole, more sensitive and at the same time, a more balanced person.

In this book the author shares dozens of first-hand accounts of the Oneness Blessing'slife-changing effects on individuals from all over the world, from the mystical children who first experienced it nearly two decades ago to its continuing exploration at the Oneness University under the guidance of esteemed teachers, Sri Bhagavan and his wife, Sri Amma.

This is a book meant for those who are spiritually awakened and enlightened as it can be properly understood by them only.
