SAMSKRIT Bharati, dedicated to the promotion of Samskrit language, provides an opportunity to Samskrit lovers to learn Samskrit at their home itself. It has been conducting correspondent courses for teaching Samskrit for over twenty years. The entire course is of two years in four stages learning?Pravesha, Parichaya, Shiksha and Kovida?each of six months duration. The medium of instruction at the Bangalore centre is either Kannada or English. Admission is once in six months. Minimum age for admission is 16 years.

The course has received overwhelming response and has been attracting large number of enthusiasts within the country as well as outside the country. More than 80,000 people have already availed the benefit of this programme. Besides training over 15,000 teachers, the Samskrit Bharati has published many books, audio-cassettes, CDs and conducted numerous innovative programmes to popularise Samskrit all over the country and abroad. It also started a Speak Samskrit Movement in 1981. Samskrit Through Correspondence is also available in other mediums of instructions?Hindi (New Delhi), Marathi (Pune), Gujarati (Ahmedabad), Tamil (Chennai) and Malayalam (Trissur).
