While on the one hand CPM ministers like A.K. Balan and K. Sudhakaran are openly attacking and humiliating Hindu gods and goddesses and taking control of temples, on the other hand, they wooing Muslim vote banks by pampering terrorists and Hindu humiliators.

The CPM Culture Minister of Kerala, M.A. Baby announced the prestigious Raja Ravi Varma (immortal painter king of Kerala) Award on M.F. Hussain. He also declared that Hussain would come to Kerala on his 92th birthday in September to receive the award and would be made a ?state guest? and maximum protection would be provided to ward off any protest.

CPM state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan accompanied by PDP leader Siraj met Madhani?an accused in the Coimbatore blast case attempt on Advaniji?had discussions on his release and thanked him for the support in polls 2006. In fact, the CPM campaigned with Madhani'scut-outs and promise for his release.

On the other hand, Hindu beliefs and religious leaders are being ridiculed and trampled upon. CPM MP T.K. Hamza ridicules Mata Amritanandamayi, A.K. Balan openly attacks Hindu gods in Assembly and Sudhakaran heaps abuses on pujaris and tantris and is conspiring for women entry in Sabarimala and non-Hindu entry in Guruvayur temple violative of beliefs and conventions.

Padmashri P. Parameswaran has strongly criticised the Raja Ravi Varma Award to M.F. Hussain has described it as a challenge to the Hindus. ?While Raja Ravi Varma drew Hindu gods and goddesses artistically with decorative dresses and beautiful ornaments, Husain depicted Hindu goddesses like Saraswati in the nude and with sexual intentions.? He further said that CPM has deliberately given this award to M.F. Hussain who drew Hindu goddesses in the nude to humiliate the RSS, BJP and Gujarat government who had taken action against persons who drew Hindu goddesses in the nude. He called upon the Hindus of Kerala to launch massive protests against this anti-Hindu act of CPM since this award is an insult to the painter king of Kerala.

BJP state president P.K. Krishna Das has also strongly protested against the award to Husain and said the BJP would organise massive protests if Hussain comes to Kerala.
