A hunter left home to go hunting for a deer in the wild forest. Suddenly he caught sight of a deer grazing peacefully in the field. The hunter fixed his arrow to his bow and took aim. The arrow went flying and landed straight on the target, killing the deer. The hunter tied the limbs of the deer and picked it up to carry it home.

He had gone a few steps only when he came across a wild boar, which charged at him. The hunter dropped the deer and took aim to shoot down the boar. The arrow entered the boar'sbody but it continued to charge at the hunter even when bleeding profusely. The boar bit the hunter on his groin and the hunter soon died from loss of blood.

A hungry jackal happened to be passing by and he saw the dead bodies of the deer, the boar and the hunter. His eyes began to shine at the pleasing sight as this meant he could now eat the meat of not one but three victims. He decided to drag them home one by one. All of a sudden his eyes fell on the bow lying nearby and it being made of sheep gut proved very attractive as a meal for the jackal. As soon as the jackal bit into the gut, it snapped suddenly and the sharp end of the bow went piercing into his body.

This just goes to show that one should never be greedy but be satisfied with whatever little is available.
