The popular Sindhu darshan festival will begin in Leh from June 23. The three-day event is being organised by Sindh and Sindhu Darshan Yatra Samiti. The event will conclude on June 26. The journey by road will begin from Jammu on June 20. It will reach Srinagar in the evening and the pilgrims will be able to see the city on June 21. The journey will proceed to Kargil at 3 am on June 22 and while visiting the Draupadi Kunda and Gurudwara Patthar Saheb will reach Leh on June 23. Apart from taking a holy dip in the Sindhu river, the formal poojan will be performed on June 24. In the noon a Rashtra Raksha Sammelan has been organised on the banks of the river. Besides the poojan at the banks of the river, a cultural programme has also been organised in the evening of June 25. The pilgrims will start returning on June 26 and will return Jammu on June 28. The journey by air will begin on June 23 from Delhi. The total expenditure for the pilgrims who travel by road is Rs 8,000 and those who travel by air will have to pay Rs 18,000 per pilgrim. The Dharmayatra Mahasangh, Bharatiya Sindhu Sabha, Shri Sanatan Dharma Sabha and Laddhakh Kalyan Sangh are also contributing in the event.
