RSS Sarkaryavah Shri Mohan Bhagwat has urged the Government of India to support the cause of Tibetan people who are forced to become minority in their own country. ?India should come out openly for autonomy to Tibet and should make Tibet an issue during its further dialogue with China. It is necessary for the security of our own country also,? he said while speaking at a function organised by Bharat Tibet Sahayog Manch in Nagpur recently. The function was organised to release a Marathi novel, Buddha ka Teesara Netra, authored by Shri Pramod Barnerkar on freedom struggle of Tibetan people. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Kuldip Agnihotri, convenor of the Manch, said China wants to finish the existence of Tibet and that is why lakhs of Chinese are being settled there systematically. Dr Navang Raphel, information secretary of Tibetan government in exile also spoke on the occasion. Sarsanghachalak Shri K.S. Sudarshan was also present in the function as an audience.
For Indian a guest is like God
VSK, Chennai Smt. Selvakumari and Smt. Kalai Selvi, sevikas of Dharapuram, Tamil Nadu, were on their way back after having darshan in a temple. They had covered many kilometers by foot and were naturally tired. Reaching Pattu Thurai, a hamlet on the way, they sat for a while on the anganam (fore-court) of a wayside house. As the two were conversing, the lady of the house emerged, holding two glasses of water in her hands and offered them to the weary yatris. She went back into the house once they returned the empty glasses, smiling gratefully at the lady, to whom they both were total strangers. Now, they started appreciating the kind gesture of the lady who had volunteered to quench their thirst. Just then the lady returned, holding two tumblers full to the brim with steaming coffee and offered them to the delighted atithis. The sevikas, though used to hear in bouddhik sessions of Rashtra Sevika Samiti, descriptions of uncommon virtues in so-called common people of Bharat, were pleasantly surprised that day by the thoughtful hospitality of that grihini. To the kind-hearted host, the sevikas introduced themselves as well as the work of the Samiti in organising Hindu women. They promised to invite her to a forthcoming utsav of the Samiti before taking leave of her. Of course, they kept their promise.
Blood donation camp in Patna

Dr Hedgewar Smarak Samiti organised a blood donation camp at Sangh Karyalaya in Patna on birth anniversary of Shri Guruji on February 19. A total of 43 units of blood was donated to the Blood Bank of NMCH. The function was attended by Vibhag Sanghachalak Shri Dharnidhar, Vibhag Prachrak Shri Rana Pratap, noted physicians Dr Pawan Agrawal, Dr S. A. Krishna, Dr Vinayak Padmakar and Dr Hemendra Kumar Sinha. Shri Purushottam Rastogi presided over the function.
Silver Jubilee of Madhavrao Mule school FOC
Madhavrao Mule Primary School, opened with seven students in 1980 at Ozarkhol village of Ratnagiri district in Maharashtra, the parental village of the veteran Sangh Pracharak Madhavrao Mule, has turned 25. The silver jubilee of the school, which now has more than 125 children, was observed on March 5. A pre-primary class was also inaugurated in the memory of Madhavrao'smother Smt. Laxmibai Kondo Mule. The school is run by Konkan Vikas Pratishthan, which also runs various medical and educational activities in the region. Senior Sangh pracharak Shri Shrikant Joshi attended the ceremony as the chief guest. Senior advocate Shri Arun Sathe and Dr Navalgundkar, former vice chancellor of Pune University were also present on the occasion.
Tribute to Dr Shailendra Shrivastava

Sanskar Bharati, Delhi, organised a function at Hindi Bhavan to pay homage to Dr Shailendra Nath Shrivastava, the national president of Sanskar Bharati, who passed away recently. Hundreds of people belonging to various organisations of Delhi paid their tributes to the departed soul who dedicated his life for protection and encouragement of Indian arts and culture through Sanskar Bharati. Shri L.K. Advani, Leader of Opposition, Dr Murli Manohar Joshi, former Union HRD Minister, Shri Yashwant Sinha, former Union Minister, Shri Mukesh Khanna, noted film and TV actor, Shri Yogendraji, Margdarshak of Sanskar Bharati and Smt. Mridula Sinha, noted literary person were among the prominent personalities who paid tribute to the departed soul. The speakers said the best tribute to the late Dr Shrivastavaji would be to finish his unfinished tasks.
