Tributes from abroad

Shankar Tatwawadi, New Jersey (USA):
The passing away of Seshadriji is indeed a great shock and loss for all of us. He was the guiding elder in the family and all looked to him for guidance at every crucial moment. Ever accessible and ever approachable he was an inspiration to all in Sangh as well as in the associated organisations. A Sangh missionary to core, an ideologue for the karyakartas, he led the Sangh movement very successfully till his last and his passing away has indeed left a great void very hard to fill. He was also the guiding spirit for Vishwa Vibhag and we always sought his advice in all the activities. I met him at the Surat Baithak in the first week of July but never realised that it would be the last meeting with him. I had handed over to him the draft copy of Man. Bhideji'sbiography and he had told that he would go through this once he reaches Bangalore. We will now miss his input forever. We pray for his eternal peace at the feet of the almighty.

Khanderao Kand, PR coordinator, HSS, USA:
HSS is saddened to hear the demise of H.V. Seshadri. He was a reputed thinker, writer and dedicated social worker. Paying tributes Dr Ved Nanda, Sanghchalak, HSS said, ?We lost a beacon that guided us from within and from distance home India. Seshadriji visited the US in 1982 to bring Hindu organisations together and work for common cause. The Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh with 84 chapters throughout the USA pays rich tributes to the departed soul.?

Arun Kankani, Karyavah (USA):
Seshadriji guided thousands of karyakartas in all walks of social life through his personal interactions, mentoring and also through his writings. For us in USA, he was a constant source of inspiration and guidance. All Swayamsevaks and shakhas have been requested to give homage to this great rishi.

Ishwari and Chetan Merani (USA):
I knew Seshadriji for almost last 20 years, ever since I worked at Vishwa Vibhag in Delhi. Even though he occupied high position of Sarkaryavah for almost a decade he was so unassuming that any Swayamsevak could approach him with his problem and be sure that he will not only be heard but will also be helped in solving the issue. Once he stayed at our place in New Delhi for a day to complete one of his books undisturbed from frequent telephone calls at the Karyalaya. Despite his very busy schedule, he spent some precious moments chatting with us. That has been a cherished memory since then. Nation and Hindu cause came first to him than his personal health. His steadfast devotion to Sangh work will always inspire Swayamsevaks to do their very best all the time.

Pravin Ruparelia, Karyawaha, HSS (UK):
His life was a shining example of how a Swayamsevak ought to carry out his duties. A widely traveled karyakarta, including trips to USA and India, he was a guiding spirit not only to Swayamsevaks but also to the families he came in contact with. We the Swayamsevaks of UK were fortunate to have him in UK for a fortnight in 1984 during which time he guided all the karyakartas and Swayamsevaks with inspiring examples. For family members he was a beacon of how one should lead life and be of service to the society. As a senior functionary of the Sangh, till his last breathe, he always ensured that all areas of work are shining example of Sangh'sphilosophy.

Abhimanyu Giri:
It is a great loss for all of us. Seshadriji will always remain in our hearts through his works and words.

Dr Shiva Subramanya, Inglenook Lane Cerritos, CA 90703 (USA):
I am deeply saddened by the passing away of my leader, my coworker and my dear friend for almost 51 years continuously. I received many letters, over the years, in pure Kannada and his handwriting was most perfect and beautiful to look at. I will miss him much and we the Sangh people and the organisation will miss him greatly. He was our ideologue and a great thinker.

Shanthakka, Karyavahika, Sevika Samiti (USA):
I have been in touch with Seshadriji since my childhood and was inspired primarily by him to become full-time Pracharika of the Sevika Samiti. Just before coming to USA, I visited him, who was in hospital due to a fracture. After exchanging pleasantries, he said, ?My job is done now! This fracture is nothing but a punishment from God. He saw that I was involved in many activities and doing numerous things and hence was not giving chance to other karyakartas. He has suggested me now to stay back and let others continue with this great work. So from now onwards, I?ll spend time only in reading and writing. Now you guys should take the work ahead. With heavy heart, we all wondered if void created by his absence could ever be filled.

All workers of VHP, UK:
Vishwa Hindu Parishad, UK expresses its profound grief at the passing away of Seshadriji, one of the greatest sons of post Independent Bharat. His services to the Hindus are legion and as such his passing away is a huge loss to Hindus.

Ram Niwas Pandey, Karyavah, Maynmar Swayamsevak Sangh:
The news of passing away of Seshadriji has shocked all the Swayamsevaks in Myanmar. His guidance will always inspire us to work harder for Hindu cause.

HSS, Canada:
A brilliant personality, a scholar and an activist, Seshadriji led various RSS social service projects with great dynamism and enthusiasm throughout his life. The guidance of a very simple and a selfless individual will be missed by the Sangh Parivar.

Chintamani Tripathi, HSS, Thailand:
Seshadriji had been a friend, philosopher and guide for entire Sangh Parivar. He left us at the time when we badly needed him and his valuable advice for Sangh work and organisation. Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh (HSS), Thailand, called an urgent condolence meeting of our workers at the residence of Shri Dinesh Mani Dubey.

Yashwant Pathak, Rochester (USA):
It was in 1980, when I first saw Seshadriji during my third year OTC, I was very much impressed because of his clarity in thoughts and simple lifestyle. Later in 1993, he visited Mauritius, South Africa and Kenya, we travelled togather. An ideal Swayamsevak, he was very open and clear in guiding the karyakartas. If there was a need he was quite straightforward and unbiased in expressing his opinion. He had definitely changed many lives and inspired thousands, I was lucky to be one of them. It was a great privilege for me to be associated with him and I got guidance from him several times in crisis. We all are going to miss him. Thousands of us who were inspired by him will work for the objective for which he lived all through his life.

Kamalakar, Gifu (Japan):

His margadarshan will guide many more to the path of nation building. May the Almighty give many more children like him to Bharatvarsha. I had a rare opportunity of being a vyavastha pramukh when he visited our small place in Suryapet, Nalgonda, Andhra Pradesh. His kindness and warmth and power of inspiring people are unforgettable in my life.

Bhaskar Chattopadhyay, Bridgeport (USA):
Let his ideas, passion, dharma engulfs the nation, which will be truest respect for him. I have heard his name so many times, read many of his books and planned to meet him in person to show my respect. Alas, I can'tfulfil that anymore. His Books, writings are for everybody to understand the greatness of this departed soul.

All the Swayamsevaks from South Africa, Johannesburg (South Africa):
This is a tremendous loss to our Hindu society. May the soul receive moksha and his teachings are an inspiration for us and all for the generations to come.

Hari, London (UK):
I still remember the day at the age of six, when Seshadriji visited my small town in Tamil Nadu and had dinner at my house. He inspired our brothers and neighbours with his kind talks. ?Great peoples are not buried, they are seeded in the soil for the future?.

Krishan Aggarwal Weirton (USA):
A rare talent of clear thinking and expression with dedication will be greatly missed.

Anil Balakrishnan Muscat, (Sultanate of Oman):
It is a great loss to the Sangh and the nation. His memory will continue to inspire the millions of Swayamsevaks all over the world. I am sure he has attained moksha and has merged with Lord Krishna.

Pramod, Abudhabi (UAE):
Some people come into our lives, leave footprints in our hearts, and we are never ever the same. My sincere love and prayers for departed soul of Seshadriji. His life is giving us an inspiration to serve the motherland, Bharath.

Surange R, Manchester (UK):

Its a great loss for Sangh and the Hindu community. My condolence for the great son of Bharat Mata.?Sanal Kumar, Dammam (Saudi Arabia)

Apart from being a profound thinker and prolific writer, Seshadri ji'srefusal to accept the responsibility of Sarsangha-chalak is in keeping with the highest tradition of Sangh. May this great act of self-abnegation continue to inspire rest of us.

Thakur Balaji Singh, (Singapore):
I pray to god to give birth to 100 of souls like H.V. Seshadris in Bharat to continue spreading the RSS ideology. His life has a meaning in Hindu history.
