VHP on BJP, I disagree
?Raj Kumar Bhatia, former national president, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad
As a Swayam-sevak since childhood and a lifelong activist of RSS Parivar I deem it my paramount personal duty to unequivocally disagree with the manner, while reserving my observations with respect to the substance, in which criticism was adopted by VHP leaders, especially by Shri Pravin Togadia with regard to BJP in general and Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Shri L.K.Advani in particular. All along Sangh'shistory, two norms have steadfastly been followed by Swayamsevaks, especially by those who hold important positions in public life?expressing differences within the parivar, and commenting on individuals in one-to-one talks. The norms have not only proved unquestionable and sound till now, it is primarily because of them, Sangh'sflawless ideology notwithstanding, that the RSS has become such a mighty Hindu movement. Of late, the norms have not only been violated by VHP leaders with impunity but the degree of violation has also increased.
