RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri K.S. Sudarshan said that the Bangbhang movement, launched in July 1905 against the divide-and-rule policy of the British government, was relevant in the present circumstances also. He said that both Hindus and Muslims had fought against the division of Bengal. ?After this movement, nationalism of Bharat won and divisive policies of the British were defeated. Finally King

George V had to undo the Partition of Bengal in 1911. There is a need to organise programmes commemorating the centenary of the anti-partition movement. This effort will strengthen our national life and pave the way for Bharatiya nationalism to march towards its cherished goal of Akhand Bharat,? he said. Shri Sudarshan was speaking at a function held to release the special issue of popular Bangla weekly, Swastika, published on the centenary of Bangbhang movement in Kolkata on April 21.

Addressing a large gathering, Shri Sudar-shan said that Hind-utva was the cementing force, which united the entire country despite various diversities. ?The British realised this fact and they, under a well-planned strategy, imposed the Aryan invasion theory. The education system prescribed by Macaulay further removed the glorious history of the country from the minds of our countrymen,? he said. About the so-called death of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Shri Sudarshan said that due to Pandit Nehru, Netaji could not come to light and the claim of his death in a plane crash was false. He appealed to the Naxals to give up the politics of bloodbath and engage in village development.
