Shri Girish Awasthi, former joint general secretary of BMS, has been elected as the new national president for the next three years. He will replace Shri Hasubhai Dave. Shri Udayrao Patwardhan was reelected as national general secretary. Shri Ramprakash Mishra, O.P. Subbarao, C.K. Saji Narayanan, Ramdore Singh, P.T. Rao, S.N. Deshpande, Sudhakar Kulkarni, Sharad Joshi, Rajendra Singh Chahan and Manglamba Rao have been appointed national vice presidents. Similarly Shri Ramdas Pande, Amarnath Dogra, B.K. Roy, Baijnath Rai, K. Lakshma Reddy, N.M. Sukumaran, Pratap Singh Bishta, Akhtar Hussain, Ravi Raman and Smt. Suchitra Mahapatra have been appointed national secretaries. Shri Omprakash Aggi will look after the work as organising secretary. Shri Krishnchandra Mishra has been appointed as joint organising secretary. Shri Jagdish Joshi will work as office secretary.
