The parent-teacher association, which was the host, turned the programme into a gala cultural event. Acharya Giriraj Kishore, speaking as chief guest, distinguished between education and literacy. He appreciated the contribution of Shri Dinanath Batra in preserving the moral values in education. Shri Satya Narayan Bansal, Shri Narendrajit Singh Rawal and Shri Ashok Pal also spoke on the occasion. A team of school children, sang the Saraswati Vandana and other songs. Responding to his felicitation Shri Dinanath Batra said that the path he had taken had never promised, nor had he ever envisioned that he would receive such a felicitation. ?These events increase arrogance in a person. Since now I have accepted the felicitation, I would daily pray to God that my arrogance may not increase,? he said.
