Addressing a huge gathering of RSS Swayamsevaks at Pavilion Grounds in Khammam district of Andhra Pradesh, the RSS Sarsanghchalak Shri K. S. Sudarshan said that the RSS was moving with constructive spirit for the last 79 years. “There have been various difficulties on this journey but overpowering all the hurdles, the Sangh has now entered into its fifth generation. The fact that has been inspiring the Sangh Swayamsevaks in this endeavour is that Bharat is a Hindu rashtra,” he said. It is to be mentioned that Khammam is a communist-dominated district of Andhra Pradesh and Naxalite activities are on peak in this region.

Shri Sudarshan said nobody listens to the weak all over the world. He cited the example of Tibet that has been following non-violence. “But China suppressed and ruined it totally and the most amazing fact is that America, that claims itself to be the super police, has not so far come forward to help Tibet.”

The Sarsanghchalak expressed grave concern over the way the Hindus were being insulted in their own country. He said: “The Kanchi Shankaracharya was arrested on the night of Diwali by fraud. He was taken to Chennai from Mehaboobnagar and it was only in the aeroplane that he was informed about his arrest. The court was kept open the whole night illegally. The chief police officer in this case, Prem Kumar, is facing many human rights violation charges. Various courts have questioned his conduct, behaviour and integrity. There are various personal reasons behind the arrest of Kanchi seer. The Kanchi Mutt has been running a number of service projects for Dalits and weaker sections of the society. The hospital that Jayalalaithaa wanted to own was taken over by the Mutt and that irked her. She later reportedly pressurised the seer to appoint her close associate, Smt. Shashikala, as its trustee, but the Mutt had declined the request,” he said, pointing out that the reputed hospitals like Shankara Nethralayam in Chennai and Shankaradev Nethralayam in Guwahati were being run with the help of the Kanchi Mutt. “The Christian lobby fears that if Hindus continue to provide such a good service to the society, nobody would turn to them. That Christian lobby is in fact behind the arrest,” he added.

He pointed out that in a similar kind of case in 1994, some policemen had raided an educational institution run by Sunnis in Aligarh, suspecting that some ISI agents were hiding there. “The then Prime Minister, P.V. Narasimha Rao sent his two senior cabinet colleagues to Aligarh to apologise for the incident. If all are equal before law, then why such discrimination with Hindus only? Why Abdullah Bukhari, who calls himself an ISI agent, has not been arrested so far and why are the Christian fathers, involved in child abuse, moving freely?” he asked.

The function was presided over by Justice (retd.) Shri Parvatrao, Dakshin Madhya Kshetra Sanghchalak. Shri Sundar Ramam, Sah-Prant Pracharak, Poorva Andhra Prant, was also present on the dais.
