With a view to develop patriotic feelings, sense of duty and social service among the youth, the Bharat Vikas Parishad (BVP) organises national anthem group competitions every year. The concluding ceremony of the 30th all-India competition was organised in Jaipur recently. A total of 800 students in 40 teams, representing 28 states, participated in the competition, which was inaugurated by Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, Home Minister of Rajasthan. The function was presided over by Smt. Prakashwati, chairperson, State Public Service Commission. Shri Ravindrapal Sharma, national president of Bharat Vikas Parishad was also present on the occasion. The participants belonging to 10th and 12th standards moved the audiences for two days through their patriotic songs. Shri Lalit Kishore Chaturvedi, Rajasthan president of BJP, gave away prizes to the winners.
