The Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Jammu and Kashmir, and Baba Amarnath Yatri Nyas have jointly thanked the people and the religious, social and trading organisations for their support in this year’s successful completion of the Amarnath Yatra at a function held in Jammu. The VHP and the Nyas provided round-the-clock boarding and lodging facilities to thousands of sadhus and pilgrims for nearly 52 days, beginning from August 10, at Geeta Bhawan in Jammu. Thanking all those who cooperated in the Yatra, the VHP and the Nyas praised the district administration, the J&K police, the health department, the municipal corporation and the sports department for providing foolproof security arrangements and other services. Speaking at the function, Dr Jagpuran Das appealed to the Hindus to visit the shrine in good numbers every year.
