“RSS is totally dedicated to social and national service. It does not run after power, as power has been the root cause of strife all over the world since time immemorial. Epics are full of such examples,” said Shri Sitaram Kedilaya, Akhil Bharatiya Sah-Seva Pramukh of RSS. He was addressing a gathering of Swayamsevaks assembled at the Raipur Medical College recently. He said the RSS work was like service to God since it was a continuous process for the betterment of humankind. He sought to remove the misconception about the RSS by vested interests and said that the Sangh considered Bharat and Bharatiyata two obvious routes to serve Bharat Mata. He also reiterated that RSS subscribed to the concept of Bharatiyata, which was based on vasudhaivakutumbakam. He said that the Sangh followed the principle “hate the evil, not the person and destroy the evil element in a person and put him on right path”. He expressed concern over the state of the society, which was heading towards materialism and opined that it was the main cause of erosion in moral values. Sarsanghchalak, Shri K.S. Sudarshan, Sarkaryavah, Shri Mohan Bhagwat and Chhattisgarh Prant Sanghchalak, Shri Pandhari Rao Kridutt were also present at the function.
