Shri Ashok Singhal, working president of VHP, has stressed the need for people to connect with the cultural values of the country to make India a super power in the world. He said without connecting with these values, one cannot think of a nation. He was speaking at the concluding ceremony of Haryana Prant Sangh Shiksha Varg. He said there was no other nation in the world like India with the quality of unity in diversity. But when invaders attacked India about 800 years ago, the country lacked unity. That is why they ruled the country for years.

Shri Singhal said, ?There have been attempts to destroy the Hindu ideology of the country. But Hindu dharma is human religion and it is the only way to restore peace in the world. Dr Hedgewar did not believe in agitation; rather he wanted to create an organisation. Even the Sangh opponents have now realised its growing impact and despite the three bans imposed on it, it has grown manifold. Sangh shakhas do not depend upon the circumstances. This identity has not only been maintained even in adverse circumstances but work has continued in trying circumstances also.? Presiding over the function, Acharya Vijay Pal Yogarthi, chairman of Arsh Gurukul, Jhajjar, said that education was an effective medium of promoting culture. He criticised the UPA government'sattempt to remove positive changes brought about by the NDA government in school curriculum. He stressed the need to propagate the glorious history of the country among countrymen through education.
