Vishwa Samvad Kendra, Jaipur organised a one-day w to impart fundamental knowledge of journalism to 55 new journalists of Rajasthan. The workshop had three sessions that involved discussions on news-gathering, electronic journalism and writing letters to editors. Renowned journalists of Jaipur associated with the print and electronic media imparted the training. Inaugurating the workshop, Gopal Sharma, editor, Mahanagar Times, highlighted the importance of journalism. Presiding over a session of the workshop, Phanibhushan Das, senior correspondent of the Press Trust of India (PTI), said that the terrorist activities in North-east were even more dangerous than the terrorism in Kashmir and asked journalists to report on it seriously.
