NEW DELHI: The ABVP-led Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU), in collaboration with Adhivakta Parishad Delhi Prant, has launched Dr BR Ambedkar Law Internship 5.0. Marking an important initiative towards bridging the gap between academic knowledge and practical experience, the orientation program for its fifth edition was conducted successfully.

This internship program has been launched with the objective of providing students of the Faculty of Law, University of Delhi, with practical legal exposure and a deeper understanding of the judicial system. Under this initiative, a total of 964 applications were received from the Faculty of Law, out of which more than 657 students were selected through an interview process. Beginning 1st July, all selected students will get the opportunity to intern under the guidance of esteemed advocates and legal experts.
The internship will provide students with an opportunity to closely understand the functioning of the Supreme Court of India, Delhi High Court, and various district courts across Delhi.

The Dr BR Ambedkar Law Internship has emerged as a significant platform for students, enabling aspiring legal professionals to understand and develop knowledge of judicial processes, court proceedings, legal drafting, and advocacy skills. Through this internship, students will gain valuable insight into the functioning of the Indian judicial system and will also have the opportunity to interact with experienced advocates.

Kunal Chaudhary, Secretary of DUSU, said that the objective of this internship is to empower students with practical knowledge and build a strong foundation for their legal careers. He added that this program will inspire young law students to contribute meaningfully to the justice system and strengthen constitutional values. This initiative once again reaffirms ABVP’s commitment to academic excellence, professional development, and leadership building among students.

State President of Adhivakta Parishad Delhi Prant, Sanjay Poddar, highlighting the conduct of advocates and their contribution towards social upliftment, stated “Dr BR Ambedkar Law Internship 5.0 is not merely an internship program, but a powerful platform for law students to closely understand the judicial system. Adhivakta Parishad Delhi Prant has always remained committed to mentoring young law students, enhancing their skills, and providing practical training. We are confident that this internship program will give a new direction to students’ personality development, professional competence, and leadership abilities, and will help produce outstanding legal professionals for the nation in the future.”
