Sangh & Sanatan under siege: VHP exposes congress-led Karnataka govt’s politically charged attack on Hindus

VHP National Spokesperson Vinod Bansal accused the Congress-led Karnataka government and its allies of orchestrating a politically motivated campaign to suppress Hindu faith and institutions, including denying permission for the RSS Deepawali path sanchalan in Chittapur

“Can anyone stop the Sangh & Sanatan…!! The anti-Hindu political ecosystem exposed,” thundered Vinod Bansal, National Spokesperson of the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP), in a searing indictment of the Congress-led Karnataka government and its allies. Speaking to media from Delhi, Vinod Bansal accused the state administration of orchestrating a coordinated political assault against Sanatan Dharma and its institutions, including the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), ahead of its planned Deepawali path sanchalan in Chittapur.

The controversy erupted after local authorities denied permission for the RSS to hold its path sanchalan, citing vague law and order concerns. The next hearing in the Karnataka High Court is scheduled for October 24. The denial, he argued, is symptomatic of a larger agenda by the Congress and its allies to defame and suppress Hindu faith and culture.

Vinod Bansal singled out key figures in the Congress and allied parties for targeting Hindu traditions. “One call was made by Priyank Kharge, son of the Congress President, to defame and ban the RSS, and the other by the Chief Minister Siddaramaiah himself, who called people to distance themselves from Sanatan Dharma,” he stated. He further highlighted attacks by leaders of other parties, including the so-called Yadav, Akhilesh, who attempted to belittle Sanatan Dharma’s biggest festival by comparing Deepawali to Christmas, a move VHP called an attempt to appease the Vatican and its followers.

The attacks did not stop there. According to VHP, a former cabinet minister from the same party that massacred Ram devotees in Ayodhya attempted to denigrate Hindu faith with a brazen statement: “Those who light diyas can burn anything,” exposing a mindset unworthy of public trust. The former General Secretary of the so-called Samajwadi Party, Swami Prasad Maurya, also drew sharp criticism for foul language directed at Goddess Lakshmi and the rituals of Lakshmi Poojan.

“These are not isolated incidents,” he warned. “Most parties of the INDI Alliance, born from the Congress’s womb, seem commissioned to destroy Hindus, Hindutva, Sanatan Dharma, and the belief centers of our country. They want a ‘Sar Tan Se Juda’ gang to emerge among Hindus so that they may defame us again.”

Calling the alliance a “tool kit gang plagued by Hinduphobia to appease Islamic fundamentalists,” Vinod Bansal reminded political leaders that Hindu society, while tolerant, is far from timid. “Sanatan is eternal it has neither beginning nor end. Its followers know how to expel anti-India ideologies through democratic means, without weapons. Reform yourselves, or your voters will correct this mentality,” he said.

The VHP leader termed the recent attacks on Hindu faith and Sanatan Dharma as part of a broader agenda by Congress and its allies, accusing them of targeting Indian cultural heritage while pandering to Islamic fundamentalists. “Hindu society is tolerant but not timid. Its tolerance has a limit,” he warned, adding, “Many came before you to eradicate Sanatan, but failed even to touch a hair. Why are you trying to cremate yourself, your party, and your ideology through such statements?”

He further highlighted the selective and politically motivated application of law in Karnataka. The Chittapur Tahsildar’s denial of permission for the RSS’s peaceful Deepawali path sanchalan, despite the organisation complying with all procedural requirements, states the administration’s bias. Over 250 path sanchalans across Karnataka in recent months have been conducted peacefully by the RSS, without any law and order issues. Meanwhile, the same authorities allowed groups with provocative or political agendas to operate freely, reflecting a double standard.

He asserted that, “What kind of mentality is this, to move away from Sanatan Dharma and expect voters to remain loyal? The people understand where the true threat lies, and it is not with peaceful organisations like the RSS ”.

The VHP leader also slammed Congress for using politically charged narratives to suppress lawful Hindu gatherings while allowing other groups with provocative or political agendas to operate freely. “Denying permission for the RSS, an organisation committed to civic order and national unity, exposes the politicisation of administrative powers under the Congress government,” he added. – give an apporriate hard hitting catchy detailed title
