MUMBAI: A major security scare gripped Mumbai’s film hub on the evening of October 18 when three-armed men riding a motorcycle ambushed actor Tiger Shroff’s vehicle near a football facility in Juhu.
At least three rounds of live ammunition were fired directly at the actor’s luxury BMW as he was preparing to leave after playing a match. Deputy Commissioner of Police Mohit Garg confirmed that the incident transpired within the jurisdiction of the Juhu Police Station.

Although the quick-thinking actor escaped unharmed, the barrage of bullets caused immediate injuries to those accompanying him. His chauffeur received a bullet wound to his hand and was rushed to Nanavati Hospital for urgent medical care, where doctors have listed his condition as stable. A second person standing nearby was also reported to have been injured during the sudden violence. Shroff’s family team confirmed his safety shortly after the assault.
Shortly after news of the ambush surfaced, a video and social media statements surfaced online with individuals identifying themselves as overseas gangsters Anil Pandit and Harman Sandhu taking full responsibility under the banner of the Lawrence Bishnoi network.
In the message, the operatives asserted that the assault was a direct consequence of Shroff ignoring prior warnings regarding his professional association with actor Salman Khan. The post explicitly threatened the film industry, warning that anyone who continues to work with Khan or defy their directives would face similar life-threatening consequences.
Law enforcement officials have noted that the validity of the social media message is being actively analyzed by cybersecurity teams as part of the broader inquiry.
Taking swift note of the brazen high-profile assault in a suburban hotspot, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis contacted the Mumbai Police Commissioner directly. The Chief Minister directed law enforcement authorities to fast-track the investigation, deploy maximum resources, and apprehend the culprits without delay. Meanwhile, Cultural Affairs Minister Ashish Shelar reached out to the Shroff family to offer assurances regarding state security support.
In response, the Mumbai Police cordoned off the crime scene, collecting forensic evidence, bullet shells, and retrieving surrounding CCTV footage to map out the escape route taken by the attackers. A total of 15 specialized investigation teams have been mobilized across the city and state borders to track down the fleeing assailants.
