NEW DELHI: A passenger aboard the Mumbai-Delhi flight carrying Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke has criticised the alleged disruption caused by protesters, describing how passengers were made to wait even after the aircraft landed at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport. The passenger’s account has intensified the debate over protest tactics, public inconvenience and the limits of political demonstrations, as Delhi Police personnel entered the aircraft following its arrival and Dipke declared, “I have come here to be arrested; arrest me.” Police personnel responded that it was not an arrest and asked him to cooperate.

‘Will they create inconvenience everywhere?’ Passenger questions CJP’s protest tactics

Recounting the incident, the passenger said the aircraft had arrived from Mumbai but passengers were unable to disembark immediately. According to the passenger, slogans of “Inquilab Zindabad” could be heard from the front of the aircraft after landing.

“I don’t know who Dipke is,” the passenger said, before criticising the conduct of those involved in the protest. The passenger questioned whether protesters who had already demonstrated for 36 days would continue to cause inconvenience to ordinary citizens in other public spaces.

The passenger also questioned the logic of protests over the alleged wrongful deletion of names from electoral rolls, arguing that the matter should be addressed through the appropriate legal and institutional channels.

“If the names of people have been wrongfully deleted, Supreme Court will look into it. They (protesters) are not going to look into it,” the passenger said, questioning whether public disruption could resolve the issue. The passenger further said that India has an established system for resolving disputes and that shutting down institutions or inconveniencing the public was not the answer to every grievance.

‘I have come here to be arrested’: Dipke’s Airport confrontation

The incident took a political turn when Delhi Police personnel entered the aircraft carrying Dipke after it landed at IGI Airport. Dipke was heard telling the personnel, “I have come here to be arrested; arrest me.” The police personnel responded, “No, this is not an arrest. Please cooperate.”

Nitin Nabin slams CJP and Opposition of destabilising politics

BJP National President Nitin Nabin, slammed CJP and opposition groups associated with Rahul Gandhi and Arvind Kejriwal of pursuing confrontational politics that could undermine public order. Nabin said that two groups one led by Rahul Gandhi and the other associated with Kejriwal and CJP were competing to create instability in the country.

“Your ‘anarchist competition’, vying to see who can create more instability in the country, will not succeed,” Nabin said, accusing the groups of refusing to accept the public’s verdict and instead pursuing political agendas through disruptive tactics.

He also said that efforts were being made to destabilise the country at the behest of foreign forces. These were political allegations made by the BJP president; the information provided does not independently substantiate claims of foreign involvement.

Nabin argued that India was continuing to progress despite international crises and accused the opposition of being unable to accept the country’s development and growing self-reliance. “Indian democracy possesses immense strength, and the patriots of this nation will unite to thwart your designs,” he said.
