NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened the registration link for the CSIR UGC NET December 2026 examination. Candidates who wish to appear for the national-level eligibility test can fill out the application form online through the official website, csirnet.nta.nic.in. The last date to submit the application form and pay the examination fee without a late fee is November 5, 2026. The CSIR UGC NET December 2026 examination will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode on December 19, 22 and 27. Candidates should complete the registration within the given deadline. NTA will announce details about the examination city, admit card and other updates separately.

Registration fee for CSIR UGC NET December 2026
The CSIR UGC NET December 2026 application fee is Rs 1,150 for General category candidates. General-EWS/OBC-NCL candidates have to pay Rs 600, while the fee for SC/ST/PwD/PwBD and Third Gender candidates is Rs 325. Candidates who miss the regular application deadline can submit the form during the late application window from November 6 to November 9. An additional late fee of Rs 500 will be charged during this period.

Candidates can fill out the CSIR NET December 2026 application form by following the steps below:
- Visit the official website, csirnet.nta.nic.in
- Now click on Online Application for Joint CSIR UGC-NET December 2026 link
- First time users can register for the first time using the required details and create login credentials
- Already registered candidates/ first time registered candidates can now Log in and fill out the application form with personal, academic and other required information
- Upload the photograph, signature and other documents in the prescribed format
- Pay the applicable examination fee through the available online payment facility
- Check the complete form carefully and submit
- Download the confirmation page and keep a printout or saved copy of the confirmation page for future reference
Note – NTA will open the CSIR UGC NET application correction window from November 10 to November 12. Candidates will be able to modify only those details that are permitted under the correction rules.

CSIR UGC NET December 2026 Exam Date and Schedule
The CSIR UGC NET December 2026 exam will be conducted in computer-based mode and will have a duration of 180 minutes, or three hours.
The question paper will be available in English and Hindi. Details regarding the examination city and admit card will be released by NTA separately.
