NEW DELHI: A special logo has been prepared to commemorate the birth centenary year of Ashok Singhal ji and remember his life, work and cultural contribution. Releasing the logo, Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) International General Secretary Bajrang Lal Bagda said it reflects Ashok ji Singhal’s spiritual values, awakening of pride among Hindu society and his lifelong dedication to Bharatiya culture.
He said the words “Ashok Singhal ji” inscribed on the logo express a sense of reverence and respect, while “Birth Centenary Year 1926–2015” highlights his lifespan. The logo has been released to mark the completion of 100 years since his birth on September 27, 2026, and will serve as a medium to take his thoughts, commitments and work to the younger generation.
The saffron-coloured background of the logo symbolises sacrifice, austerity, spiritual consciousness, valour and devotion to Rashtradharma. The golden ring surrounding it represents the eternity, glory and radiance of the Indian knowledge tradition.
The Shri Ram Temple depicted in the logo represents one of the major missions of Ashok ji Singhal’s life and his historic contribution to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi movement. The saffron flag fluttering alongside the temple reflects the spirit of Sanatan tradition, organisation, sacrifice and cultural self-respect.
The VHP International General Secretary said the serene, radiant and gentle personality of Ashok Singhal placed at the centre of the logo reflects his spiritual values, firm resolve, organisational skills, reverence for saints and deep affection for Hindu society.
His tilak and white attire symbolise simplicity, spiritual faith and commitment to Indian civilisational values. The deep red-maroon band highlighting his name conveys energy, courage, determination and a spirit of struggle, while the yellow-golden base at the bottom conveys the message of knowledge, light, auspiciousness and hope for the future.
Bagda said the logo is not merely a visual symbol but a symbolic compilation of the life-message of Ashok Singhal ji. His life remained dedicated to Indian culture, the organisation of Hindu society, reverence for saints and the cause of cultural self-respect.
The birth centenary year, he said, is not only an occasion to remember Ashok ji Singhal’s contributions but also an opportunity to take forward new commitments towards service, organisation, values and cultural consciousness.
People associated with the VHP and across the world will use the logo during the centenary year in various programmes, publications, digital platforms, commemorative campaigns and public outreach activities.
The logo will serve as a tribute of gratitude to revered Ashok Singhal and as a symbol of inspiration to carry forward his thoughts and commitments.
