BADHALGANJ, GORAKHPUR: As part of the RSS Centenary Year celebrations, a Yuva Samvad on ‘Role of Youth in Nation-Building’ was organised at the auditorium of Shaheed Raja Hari Prasad Mall Government Homeopathic Medical College.
RSS Akhil Bharatiya Sah-Bauddhik Shikshan Pramukh Deepak Vispute, who was the keynote speaker at the youth dialogue, said the objective of the programme was to familiarise young people with the Sangh’s ideology and working methodology.
He said that irrespective of the field in which young people work, they should perform their duties with honesty and a spirit of service to the nation. If an individual performs his work with complete dedication and in the national interest, he too contributes to nation-building.
He emphasised that every individual, regardless of their field, should have a ‘Nation First’ approach. Young people must understand their responsibilities towards society and the country alongside their personal interests. The role of youth is crucial in the progress of the nation and strengthening of society.
Citing the example of Bhagwan Shri Ram, Vispute said Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram gave society the message of organising people and bringing them together. He struggled to fulfil his duties and protect his motherland and society.
His life inspires society to remain united, remain committed to duty and place the national interest above everything else, he said.
He called upon young people to play a positive role in organising and strengthening society. Remembering the martyrs who sacrificed everything for Bharat’s independence, he urged the youth to strive to become responsible citizens.
He said the sacrifice of the martyrs will be truly honoured only when young people make the national interest a priority in their lives and contribute honestly to the progress of the country.
During the programme, the youth engaged in discussions on various issues related to nation-building, social service and their responsibilities towards the country. The programme concluded with the singing of Vande Mataram.
