AIIMS NORCET 11 Notification Released: Online Registration Open, CBT Exams from September 12

New Delhi: The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, has released the official notification for the Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET) 11. AIIMS has started the application process for NORCET 11 to recruit Nursing Officers at AIIMS New Delhi and other participating AIIMS institutes. Interested and eligible candidates can submit their AIIMS NORCET applications online between July 24 and August 13, 2026 (up to 5:00 PM) through the official AIIMS examination portal.

AIIMS NORCET is one of the country’s most competitive recruitment examinations which is conducted for nursing professionals. Through this common eligibility test, AIIMS recruits qualified candidates for Nursing Officer positions in various AIIMS hospitals and other participating central healthcare institutions. The notification includes complete information on eligibility criteria, application procedure, examination schedule, fee structure, and selection process.

AIIMS NORCET 11 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who wish to apply for NORCET-11 must possess either a B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing, B.Sc. Nursing, or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing degree and be registered as a Nurse and Midwife with the State or Indian Nursing Council. Candidates who hold a General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) diploma are also eligible, provided they are registered with the Nursing Council and have at least two years of work experience in a hospital with a minimum of 50 beds.

Application Fee and Salary

To apply for AIIMS NORCET 11, General/OBC candidates have to pay Rs 3,000, while SC/ST/EWS candidates are required to pay Rs 2,400. Persons with Disabilities (PwD) are exempted from paying the application fee. AIIMS has also stated that the application fee paid by SC/ST candidates will be refunded after the declaration of results, subject to verification of their category certificates.

Selected candidates will be appointed as Nursing Officers (Group B) under Pay Level 7 of the 7th Central Pay Commission pay matrix, corresponding to the pre-revised Pay Band-2 of Rs 9,300-34,800 with Grade Pay of Rs 4,600, along with applicable allowances.

The recruitment process will consist of a two-stage Computer-Based Test, followed by document verification and a medical examination for shortlisted candidates. AIIMS has clarified that the total number of vacancies will be notified separately through a subsequent notice. Candidates are advised to carefully read the notification of AIIMS NORCET 11 before filling out the application form, ensure that they meet all eligibility requirements, upload the prescribed documents in the required format, and complete the registration well before the closing date to avoid last-minute technical issues.
