Hyderabad: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat will hold a special interactive session with women on the theme “Contemporary Motherhood (Yuganukul Matrutva)” in Hyderabad on July 26, organised by Vishwamangalya Sabha.

Addressing a press conference about the upcoming programme, Dr Vrushali Joshi, National Organising Secretary of Vishwamangalya Sabha, said the organisation has been working for the empowerment of women, strengthening of families and social awakening for the past 16 years. Guided by the motto “Na Matuh Par Daivatam” (“There is no deity greater than the Mother”), the organisation is active across 33 provinces in the country.

The public programme will be held on July 26 at 4 pm at Komaram Bheem Adivasi Bhavan, Road No. 10, Banjara Hills, where Dr Mohan Bhagwat will address and interact with women from across the country on the subject of “Contemporary Motherhood”.

The programme will also include an interactive question-and-answer session. Organisers expect around 1,000 to 1,500 women from Hyderabad and other parts of South India to attend.

She said women’s conventions have recently been organised in 23 provinces, including Bhagyanagar (Hyderabad), and the feedback received from these meetings has led the organisation to focus on the theme of “Contemporary Motherhood (Yuganukul Matrutva)” in the coming years.

As part of this initiative, an internal Dakshin Bharat Prabodhan Meeting of Vishwamangalya Sabha will be held on July 25 at the National Institute for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (NI-MSME), Yousufguda, Hyderabad.

Around 200 women representatives from Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Goa, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and other regions will participate in the deliberations.

Speaking to Organiser, Dr Vrushali Joshi said that women today have a much larger role to play in society and that their contribution should not be viewed through the lens of gender competition.

“Women are not in gender competition. They are equal and complementary in their various roles. Motherhood is not merely a personal responsibility but an integral part of family, social and national life. It should never be seen as a burden, as is often projected in certain Western narratives,” she said.

She said the interaction with the RSS Sarsanghchalak is intended to encourage a meaningful dialogue on the evolving role of women and motherhood in contemporary society, while reaffirming the importance of family values and nation-building in Bharat.

The press conference was attended by Vrushali Joshi, All India Head of Vishwamangalya Sabha; Shruti, All India Joint Secretary; Pooja Nareddy, All India Treasurer; and Bhagavati Baldwa, President of the Reception Committee, Udayashri, Telangana Pranta Samparka Pramukh, members of the Vishwa Mangalya Telangana team were also present.
