Imphal: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Manipur Prant, has expressed profound grief over the demise of Pouchalung Panmei, the father of Chingkhiuku Panmei Kabui, who serves as an RSS Pracharak in Tamenglong District.

Pouchalung Panmei, son of the late Liangding Panmei, was a native of Goinanglong Village in Tamenglong District, Manipur. Born on October 16 1963, he passed away around midnight on 14 July 2026 after battling an illness. He was 62 years old.

He is survived by his wife, eight sons and three daughters, along with grandchildren and other family members, leaving behind a large bereaved family.

To pay homage to the departed soul, RSS Manipur Prant organised a Shok Sabha (condolence meeting) on July 15 at Bhaskara Prabha, Konjeng Leikai, Imphal West.

The programme was attended by RSS functionaries, karyakartas and representatives of various Sangh-inspired organisations, who gathered to offer their heartfelt condolences and stand in solidarity with the bereaved family.

During the meeting, participants observed a one-minute silence and offered prayers for the eternal peace of the departed soul.

The gathering also recited the Purnamadah Purnamidam Mantra, following the RSS tradition of paying homage to the departed.

The RSS Manipur Prant conveyed its deepest sympathies to Chingkhiuku Panmei Kabui and the entire bereaved family, praying that they be granted strength and courage to endure this irreparable loss.

The organisation also prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and remembered the invaluable support and sacrifices made by the families of full-time Pracharaks in the service of the nation and society
