NEW DELHI: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Delhi organised a wide range of programmes across all district and city units in the national capital on the occasion of National Students’ Day. ABVP observes its Foundation Day every year on July 9 as National Students’ Day.

As part of the celebrations, a ceremonial lamp-lighting programme was held at ABVP’s Yashwant Office in New Delhi. On the eve of National Students’ Day, Deepotsav programmes were also organised at several locations, including the Arts Faculty of the University of Delhi and Vedanta Sthal at Jawaharlal Nehru University, to highlight the role of student power in nation-building.

To mark the occasion, ABVP Delhi’s district and city units conducted seminars, dialogue sessions, community service activities, tree plantation drives, cleanliness campaigns, and public awareness initiatives, along with several other constructive programmes. Through these efforts, ABVP sought to instil among students the values of social responsibility, service, environmental conservation, and the spirit of “Nation First.”

A large number of students, teachers, and ABVP volunteers participated in these programmes, helping spread the message of National Students’ Day across different sections of society. The events also encouraged young people to contribute actively to nation-building and remain committed to their social responsibilities.

On the occasion, Sarthak Sharma, State Secretary, ABVP Delhi, said: “The Foundation Day of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad is not merely a celebration of the organisation; it is a symbol of the commitment, service, and dedication of student power towards nation-building. The ideals of our guiding inspiration, Swami Vivekananda, continue to inspire the youth to work in the national interest. ABVP does not limit students to academic pursuits alone; it consistently works to connect them with social responsibility, national consciousness, and positive leadership. The programmes organised on National Students’ Day are a powerful expression of this very commitment.”
