Today has gone down in the history of Indian politics as a pivotal turning point. Addressing party workers at the BJP headquarters in Delhi, PM Narendra Modi described this victory as “historic” and “unprecedented.” He remarked that when years of hard work, dedication, and perseverance finally culminate in success, the joy that lights up one’s face that very same joy is clearly visible today on the faces of BJP workers across the entire nation.
The Prime Minister began his speech by presenting himself as a humble party worker. He stated that he shares equally in the happiness of every BJP ‘karyakarta’. According to him, this is not merely an electoral victory, but a proclamation of the country’s bright future. This day is a day of trust-trust in India’s democracy, trust in the politics of performance and trust in the spirit of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” (One India, Great India).
Following the Bharatiya Janata Party’s massive victory in West Bengal, Assam, and Puducherry, the Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to the voters. He asserted that this mandate represents not merely a change of power, but a symbol of the people’s faith. Thanking the people of various states- Assam, Bengal, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala, he noted that every single vote has strengthened this democratic festival.
Prime Minister Modi lauded the efforts of the party workers, employing symbolic phrases such as, “The Lotus has bloomed.” He declared that the people have scripted a new chapter in history, and the true credit for this victory belongs to the nation’s voters. These results demonstrate that the party’s grassroots presence has been reinforced and public trust has deepened.
Reiterating the core ethos of democracy, he observed that victory and defeat are inherent parts of the electoral process; however, this time, the people have demonstrated to the world why India is hailed as the “Mother of Democracy.” He emphasized that India’s democracy is not merely a system of governance, but an integral part of our culture and values.
During his address, the Prime Minister identified the dedication and hard work of the party workers as the true driving force behind this victory. He affirmed that every worker, whether big or small- played a pivotal role in achieving this success. The party’s robust organizational structure, combined with the boundless energy of its workers, made this historic triumph possible. During this time, the atmosphere at the BJP headquarters in Delhi also transformed into a festive celebration. The moment the Prime Minister arrived, the party workers were filled with fervor; slogans erupted, and an air of festivity permeated the entire premises. This was not merely a political victory, but also an emotional moment in which every single worker felt a sense of personal ownership in this success.
