Amid the heightened political activity, Nainar Nagendran, while speaking exclusively to Organiser during his campaign in the Sattur constituency, projected strong confidence in the NDA’s prospects. The interaction took place on April 19 near Alangulam, where he received a grand welcome from villagers across multiple junctions.
Addressing local concerns, Nagendran promised to resolve the region’s water issues, positioning development as a key campaign plank. He asserted that the NDA alliance is on track to secure nearly 180 seats, claiming that public participation and the mood on the ground indicate a decisive shift.
“The people of Tamil Nadu have decided to change the government,” he said, signalling what he described as growing anti-incumbency sentiment.
He also raised concerns over the deterioration of law and order under the DMK government, alleging a lack of safety for women between 2 and 60 years of age.
Highlighting the issue of drug proliferation, including the availability of ganja, he termed it a governance failure and vowed that an NDA government would take firm action to curb the menace.
As campaigning enters its final stretch, political parties are intensifying outreach efforts, with the coming 48 hours expected to be crucial in shaping voter sentiment across the state.
