A sprawling and deeply disturbing case has emerged from Nashik, Maharashtra, where multiple complaints filed over a span of nearly four years have exposed patterns of sexual harassment, coercive behaviour, and religious conversion attempts alonwgith targeting within a multinational company. The case, now under active investigation by the Nashik Police, has led to the registration of at least nine complaints, each detailing serious allegations against several employees, including team leaders and senior staff.

The complaints, covering the period from 2022 to early 2026, paint a troubling picture of a workplace environment where multiple women employees faced repeated harassment, intimidation, and humiliation. The accused include Danish Sheikh, Tausif Attar, Raza Memon, Shahrukh Qureshi, Shafi Sheikh, Asif Ansari, and others, whose names appear across multiple FIRs.

According to investigators, what initially appeared as isolated incidents gradually evolved into a pattern of alleged misconduct. Several complainants have reported inappropriate physical contact, unwelcome advances, stalking, lewd comments, and persistent intrusion into their personal lives and this is why it is ‘Jihad’.

Police officials quoted in the media stated that the accused individuals, many of whom held positions of influence within the company, used their authority and proximity to target colleagues, particularly women employees. The repeated nature of the complaints has led investigators to examine whether the incidents were part of a larger pattern of coordinated targeting rather than isolated acts.

Allegations of religious targeting and coercion

A sensitive aspect of the case involves allegations of religious targeting and coercion. Some complainants have alleged that derogatory remarks were made about Hindu deities and religious practices, creating an atmosphere of hostility and discomfort.

In one of the complaints, a complainant has alleged that she was pressured into participating in religious practices such as offering namaz and was coerced into consuming non-vegetarian food against her will. Another complaint by a male employee has raised concerns about forced participation in religious activities and attempts at conversion. Police have stated that these claims, including the authenticity of supporting evidence, are currently under verification.

Another critical dimension of the case is the alleged inaction by the company’s management. Several complainants have claimed that despite repeated complaints to senior officials and HR authorities, no effective action was taken.

Complaint-based testimonies (As Registered and has not been altered)

1. The accused Danish Sheikh, Tausif Attar, and Nida Khan, who worked in a well-known multinational company between July 2022 and February 2026, hurt the religious sentiments of the complainant by making objectionable remarks about Hindu deities. They promised to marry her and had physical relations with her from time to time. The accused Danish Sheikh caught the complainant in the company’s office lobby and behaved in a manner that would embarrass her in order to have sexual intercourse with her; hence, the case was registered.

2. From May 2023 to March 19, 2026, the said accused Raza Memon and Shahrukh Qureshi, working in a renowned multinational company, stared at the female employee in a manner that made the complainant feel ashamed, touched her, and spoke shamefully about her personal marital life. When the complainant repeatedly complained to the head officer of the company regarding these incidents, he did not take cognizance of her complaint of molestation; thus, a case was registered on the grounds that Raza Memon and Shahrukh had committed the act.

3. Between 2022 and February 2026, the accused Shafi Sheikh, who worked in a well-known multinational company, looked at the complainant’s chest during a meeting and smiled awkwardly, causing her shame. Tausif also made shameful remarks about the complainant’s lack of children in her personal marital life, thereby causing embarrassment to her in order to have sexual intercourse with her. Accordingly, a case has been registered.

4. Between May 2025 and December 2025, Tausif Attar, who worked in a well-known multinational company, with the intention of getting intimate with the complainant, asked her embarrassing questions about her private life, stared at her chest, and pointed at her private parts, all of which caused shame to her. Also, while the complainant and other Hindu girls were working in the office, he spoke offensively about Hindu deities, hurting the religious sentiments of the complainant and her colleagues. Hence, a case has been registered.

5. Between 2022 and March 23, 2026, the accused Tausif Attar, Danish, Shahrukh Sheikh, and Raza Memon, who worked in a renowned multinational company, forcibly compelled the complainant to offer prayers by verbally abusing her religious beliefs and insulting Hindu deities and the Hindu religion. He also tried to convert the complainant to his religion by forcibly making her eat non-vegetarian food and used obscene words and remarks against Hindu women. Hence, a case has been registered.

6. Between September 2024 and February 2026, the accused Asif Ansari and Shafi Sheikh, who worked in a renowned multinational company, made obscene comments about the body of the complainant, who worked in the company, and deliberately touched her feet and chest, causing shame to her. Also, the accused Tausif Attar hurt the religious sentiments of the complainant and the Hindu religion by making objectionable remarks about Hindu deities. Accordingly, a case has been registered in this regard.

7. While working in a reputed multinational company between June 2025 and March 2026, the accused Asif Ansari, Shahrukh Qureshi, Raza Menon, Tausif Attar, and Shafi Sheikh followed the female complainant working in the company, made obscene remarks about her, touched her inappropriately, and looked at her in an obscene manner. Also, the case was registered as the religious sentiments of the complainant and the Hindu religion were hurt by using abusive words about Hindu gods.

8. Between January 2025 and today, in a well-known multinational company, the accused Raza Memon and Shafi Sheikh, in order to establish physical intimacy with a female employee, spoke to the complainant about her private life from time to time, and accused Shafi proposed to her against her will, while accused Raza Memon made obscene remarks about her body. Both the accused also touched the complainant, causing her shame; hence, the said crime was registered.

9. While working in a reputed multinational company between January 2026 and April 1, 2026, the accused Raza Memon and Shahrukh Qureshi made obscene comments and gestures toward the complainant. They also kept watch on her by repeatedly asking about her private life without her consent. They made obscene remarks about her body and behaved in a manner that caused her shame; therefore, a case has been registered.

Officials have confirmed that all aspects of the case, including allegations of sexual exploitation, workplace harassment, and religious coercion, are being investigated in detail. Statements of multiple complainants have been recorded, and further evidence, including digital communication and workplace surveillance data, is being examined.

Formal FIRs in the cases are yet to be registered.

As the investigation continues, the Nashik MNC case is emerging as one of the most serious workplace misconduct probes in recent times, involving allegations that cut across sexual harassment, abuse of authority, and religious coercion.
