Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Telangana Prant Karyavah Kacham Ramesh stated that the Sangh has witnessed consistent growth, wider social acceptance, and an increasing willingness among people to participate in its activities through nationwide programmes, with a similar trend observed in Telangana.

Addressing media representatives in Hyderabad, in the context of the RSS Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha held from March 13 to 15 in Samalkha, Haryana, he outlined the special programmes planned in Telangana and across the country as part of the Sangh’s centenary year.

Emphasising that the Sangh’s work is primarily focused on social transformation through individual character building aimed at Hindu organisation, he highlighted the growing interest across the country, particularly in Telangana, where he detailed its expanding presence and growth trajectory.

He said that as the RSS completes 100 years since its founding, the Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha was held at a time when several special programmes are being designed to take Sangh ideology and principles more rapidly into society. Since its inception in 1925, the organisation has grown steadily amidst various challenges and opportunities.

Key points shared:

On the occasion of 100 years of the founding of the RSS, large-scale celebrations were conducted across the country during the auspicious occasion of Vijayadashami last year.

Along with these, centenary year programmes were also launched. These diverse programmes were successfully organised through extensive planning and dedicated efforts by karyakartas. Members of society also warmly welcomed these initiatives and extended cooperation and support.

People from various sections and levels of society actively participated in these programmes, contributing significantly to their success. Conducting these programmes on a wide scale has strengthened the organisation structurally. The Sangh has achieved notable success in reaching even the smallest sections of society.

Griha Sampark programme

Through the Griha Sampark programme, Sangh’s ideas have reached households even in remote areas. Sadbhavana meetings and citizens’ meetings have increased positive thinking and social awareness. As people gain a comprehensive understanding of the Sangh’s work, expectations for greater service from the organisation in national life are increasing. Themes such as “Pancha Parivartan” have also received widespread acceptance. Interest in understanding the Sangh and participating in social activities is growing.

Events addressed by Dr Mohan Bhagwat

As 2025–26 marks the centenary year, a detailed tour plan was prepared keeping centenary programmes in focus. Tours of RSS Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat were conducted in 22 regions. Programmes such as social harmony meetings, interactions with prominent citizens, Hindu Sammelans, and dialogues with influential members of society were organised across regions.

In some areas, special interactions were also held with young entrepreneurs, researchers, and tribal communities. The Sangh presented its 100-year journey to the public, addressed their queries, and invited them to participate in its programmes.

Lecture series titled “100 Years of Sangh – New Horizons” were organised in four metropolitan cities — Delhi, Bengaluru, Kolkata, and Mumbai. Eminent personalities from society were invited, and representatives from various countries also participated. Delegates from 55 countries, belonging to fields such as education, administration, industry, and social sectors, took part in these programmes.

Kacham Ramesh also recalled that, as part of the centenary year, Dr Mohan Bhagwat attended three events in Bhagyanagar. One of these was held with retired bureaucrats, celebrities, and other invited eminent personalities from various walks of life, marking the presence of representatives from nomadic tribes and different religious groups.

As part of the Griha Sampark initiative, Dr Mohan Bhagwat met the President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu, at her residence in Delhi and discussed Sangh activities. Meetings were also held with other prominent personalities.

Hindu Sammelans

He participated in Hindu Sammelans organised in regions such as Andaman, Raipur, Sonepur, and Devagiri. In February, he addressed swayamsevak gatherings in Pathankot and Ambala. He also met leading figures from spiritual and religious fields and received their blessings, including Muni Mahashraman Ji, Muni Ratnasundar Ji, Puri Peeth Shankaracharya Nischalananda Saraswati Ji, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar of Art of Living, Daji Patel Ji of Ramdev Mission, Yogi Bhavanath Ji, renowned kathakar Ramesh Bhai Oja Ji, and Jagadguru Vivekananda Saraswati Ji.

Answering questions, Kacham Ramesh said there are structural changes in the organisational structure as part of its decentralisation, and it is being expanded to 80 regions across the nation, which will be called Sambhag instead of Pranth, as per Sangh territorial convenience.

While answering to query on MIM MLAs walking out during Vande Mataram in Telangana State Assembly, it becomes clear that the kind of respect they hold for the national song, which was the slogan for freedom movement and a slogan that reversed the decision of Bangal Partition in 1906 by British.
