A Special POCSO Court in Prayagraj has directed the police to register an FIR against Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati and his disciple Swami Mukundanand Giri in connection with allegations of sexual exploitation.

Additional District and Sessions Judge (POCSO Act) Vinod Kumar Chaurasia ordered the registration of the FIR and a detailed investigation into the allegations. Following the order, a case is expected to be registered at Jhunsi police station.

The court directed the police to investigate allegations that several children residing in the ashram were subjected to sexual abuse.

The complaint seeking action against the seer was filed by Ashutosh Brahmachari Maharaj, Peethadhishwar of Shakumbhari Peeth, under Section 173(4).

Ashutosh Brahmachari filed the complaint on February 8 before the special POCSO court, alleging that children at the ashram had been sexually abused and demanding strict legal action.

During the hearing on February 13, the court recorded statements of two minor children as part of the preliminary proceedings.

According to the complaint, at least 20 children are alleged to have been victims of sexual exploitation at the ashram.

The complainant submitted a purported CD before the court, claiming it contained evidence of abuse inside the ashram premises.

He alleged that multiple children had approached him with complaints, suggesting a systematic pattern of exploitation.

Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati has strongly denied the allegations, claiming that he is being targeted by certain individuals.

He stated that the accusations were motivated by his public positions on issues such as cow protection and his criticism of the government.

He maintained that evidence has already been submitted before the court and said he is confident that the truth will emerge during the investigation.

Ashutosh Brahmachari described the court’s order as “divine justice” and said he would continue to pursue the matter.

He announced plans to undertake a foot march from Prayagraj to Varanasi’s Vidyamath to present what he described as the truth before the public.

The case comes amid recent controversies involving Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati.
